Privacy Policy
Fresh Dog Kitchen ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have.
What we collect
- You give us: name, email, phone number, delivery address, pet details, and order/subscription history when you sign up, order, or contact us.
- Payment info: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number โ Stripe does, under PCI-DSS standards.

- To text or email you delivery updates, receipts, and (if you opt in) menu news.
- To provide support, prevent fraud, and meet legal/tax obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate โ for example Stripe (payments), our email provider (newsletters), and analytics โ and only as needed. We may disclose information if required by law.

Terms of Service
By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Who we are
Fresh Dog Kitchen is a fresh pet food maker based in San Marcos, California, serving North County San Diego. Legal entity: [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME / LLC].
Ordering & pricing
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change; the price shown at checkout is what you pay for that order.
- We may limit quantities, correct pricing errors, or decline/cancel an order (we'll refund you if we do).
- Delivery is available only to ZIP codes shown in our delivery-zone checker. Orders outside the zone can't be fulfilled.
Our food โ important
- Our fresh meals are formulated to be complete and balanced to AAFCO nutrient profiles for the life stage stated on each product. Pantry items labeled "for intermittent or supplemental feeding" are treats, not complete meals.
- Information on this site is for general purposes and is not veterinary advice. Consult your veterinarian about your pet's diet, allergies, or medical conditions. Transition to any new food gradually over about 7 days.
- Fresh food is perishable. Follow the storage and use-by guidance on each label. We're not responsible for product left unrefrigerated or used past its date.
Acceptable use & accounts
Keep your account details accurate and secure. Don't misuse the site, attempt to break its security, or resell our products without written permission.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Fresh Dog Kitchen isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order at issue. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date shows when. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
Automatic renewal notice: Fresh Dog Kitchen subscriptions are automatic-renewal / continuous-service programs. When you subscribe, your chosen plan will automatically renew and your payment method will be charged on a recurring basis until you cancel. You may cancel anytime โ see below. This notice is provided under California's Automatic Renewal Law (Bus. & Prof. Code ยง 17600 et seq.).
The terms, clearly
- What renews: the plan and items in your subscription.
- How often & how much: every week or every 2 weeks (whichever you selected at checkout), charged at the subscription price shown at checkout, plus any delivery fee, until you cancel.
- Billing timing: your first charge is at checkout; each following charge happens before that cycle's delivery is prepared.
- Price changes: we'll email you in advance of any price change; you can cancel before it takes effect.
How to cancel, skip, or pause
You can cancel, skip a delivery, or pause anytime, with no fee and no phone call required:
- Use the manage-subscription link in any Stripe receipt/confirmation email we send you, or
- Email freshdogkitchen@gmail.com and we'll process it.
Cancellations take effect for the next un-prepared cycle. If you cancel after a cycle's food has already been cooked/packed, that final order still ships (and is charged), and nothing after it will be.
Free/intro offers
If your first box includes a free gift or promotional pricing, the offer applies as described; regular subscription pricing applies to all following cycles unless stated otherwise.
Refunds & Cancellations
Our bowl-licked guarantee
If your dog won't eat a fresh meal from your first box, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right โ a replacement recipe or a refund of that item. We want the food eaten, not wasted.
Problems with an order
- If an order arrives damaged, late, wrong, or with a quality issue, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number (and a photo if relevant) and we'll refund or replace the affected items.
- Because our food is fresh and perishable, we generally can't accept returns of opened or used product for health-safety reasons โ but the guarantee above still applies.
How refunds are issued
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5โ10 business days depending on your bank.
Missed / undeliverable deliveries
If no one is home, we leave your order in an insulated cooler with ice packs at your door by default. If an address is wrong or inaccessible and we can't deliver, that order may not be refundable โ please keep your delivery details current.
Need help with any of the above? Email freshdogkitchen@gmail.com โ a real human (and probably a dog) replies within one business day.
